About MLQN

The group discusses anything relevant to the quality role in a pathology service. Past topics of discussion include:

• Regulatory changes, such as TGA registration of IVDs
• NATA requirements and how they are being applied
• NPAAC publications, including commenting on drafts
• Planning audit programs and developing checklists
• Approaches to Management Review
• Equipment checking and calibration programs

The MLQN runs an internal auditors course that focuses on skilling attendees to perform internal audits in their workplace.

Achievements of the MLQN include:

• KIMMS QAP categories
• Transition to ISO15189
