Medical Laboratory Quality Network
About MLQN
In 2002 several quality managers, with unique roles in their own organisations, seeking peer group support, decided to get together on a regular basis. Thus began the Medical Laboratory Quality Network (MLQN) discussion group.
In 2010 the MLQN became incorporated.
The group currently meets 3-4 times per year. There is also a constant exchange of information via email.
Anyone in Victoria performing a quality role in their pathology organisation is welcome to attend the MLQN meetings and be added to the email list.
Objectives of the Association
- To facilitate communication among people with a professional quality management role in medical science, in Victoria and beyond.
- To organise appropriate support services for medical testing and related bodies, such as courses for internal auditors.
- To provide a facility for making representation to external bodies, either proactively or by invitation, e.g. NATA.
